Bangla Press Desk: One death and 169 fresh cases were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a handout on Saturday.
With the updated data, the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 29 and the number of confirmed cases to 5,739 this year, according to the DGHS.
The DGHS said the lone fatality took place in Chattogram Division.
Besides, Barishal Division alone reported 101 new cases, Chattogram Division (outside city corporations) recorded 28 cases, Dhaka (outside city corporations) reported five, while 19 cases were detected in Dhaka South and 16 in Dhaka North City Corporations.
