Dhaka Among Nine Districts Bracing for Rain and Thunderstorms

Bangla Press Desk: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds in nine districts, including the capital Dhaka.

The BMD also advised river ports in the affected areas to display Local Warning Signal No. 1.According to the inland river ports weather forecast issued on Thursday (30 July), valid from 5:00am to 1:00pm, temporary gusty or squally winds blowing at speeds of 45-60 km/h from the south or southeast may sweep over Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram and Cox's Bazar districts.

The weather forecast also warned of rain or thundershowers in these areas and instructed the respective river ports to hoist Local Warning Signal No. 1.
