Bangla Press Desk: Chief Adviser Prof Mohammad Yunus has called upon the country’s political leaders to engage in politics driven by a commitment to building national unity, shunning the path of politics of division.
“We don’t do politics to create a division, rather, we do politics for unity and the interest of the nation. I hope we will be able to prepare a fantastic July Charter based on the outcome of the second phase talks,” he said.
Yunus, also chief of the National Consensus Committee, said in his inaugural speech of the second round of talks with political parties held at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Monday afternoon.
Earlier, he held the talks with the country’s major political parties, including BNP, to discuss the issue relating to the national election. He inaugurated the dialogue at the Foreign Service Academy around 4:48 pm.
