DP World Chairman meets the Prime Minister
A delegation led by Essa Kazim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DP World, met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
Bangla Press Desk: A delegation led by Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DP World, met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
During the meeting on Thursday (October 8), discussions were held regarding the expansion of trade and investment between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates, the development of port management and logistics sectors, and various issues of mutual interest.

The 15-year concession agreement signed between Bangladesh and DP World for the operation and modernization of the Chattogram Container Terminal was also discussed.
Under the agreement, DP World will undertake the responsibility of operating and maintaining the container terminal and its overflow container yard. This partnership is expected to play a significant role in modernizing the terminal, enhancing operational efficiency, and boosting the capacity of port and logistics infrastructure.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister inquired about DP World's interest in establishing a free trade zone and a rail-based inland container depot, as well as making new investments in Bangladesh. The delegation expressed keen interest in collaborating and investing in these sectors.
