Eid vacation to begin in all public, private universities from Monday
Bangla Press Desk : The government has ordered the closure of all the public and private universities across the country from Monday in an attempt to maintain the austerity of power and energy at the national level, facing the ongoing global crisis.
The holiday will be effective in accordance with the scheduled date of the academic calendar of Eid-ul-Fitr. The announcement, signed by Assistant Secretary Sultan Ahmed, was issued from the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the education ministry on Sunday. Instructions have also been given in the office order on power saving.
The ministry has asked the University Grants Commission (UGC) to implement the order as soon as possible.
All the public and private universities across the country will remain closed according to the university’s academic calendar marking the holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, said the order.
At the same time, the ministry has also requested to implement the 11-point directive at the universities, aiming to ensure power and energy saving and a responsible attitude in the universities.Source: daily Sun
