Bangla Press Desk: Abidul Islam Khan, vice-president (VP) candidate of the Chhatra Dal-backed panel in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election, said he entered the polling center with the permission of the returning officer.
“I want to celebrate the voting, not make allegations. I entered the polling center with the returning officer’s approval,” he stated.
He made the remarks while talking to the reporters at the university’s Curzon Hall on Tuesday morning.
At the same time, another Chhatra Dal panel candidate, Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim, said that although only 45 minutes had passed since voting began, the election was proceeding in a peaceful environment.
