Bangla Press Desk: Ali Mohammadi, the Deputy Political Commander of the IRGC Navy, has rejected US President Donald Trump's claims regarding the movement of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that if Trump's claims were true, they would have impacted the oil market.
Mohammadi raised these questions regarding the US administration's motives during an interview with Iran's semi-official news agency, Fars.
"If oil tankers were truly passing through the Strait of Hormuz, why isn't the oil market reacting accordingly? It is because the market understands that you are lying," Mohammadi said.
He also challenged the US claim that the IRGC Navy had been destroyed, asking why US forces were positioning themselves 600 to 700 kilometers away instead of approaching the strait.
Mohammadi also spoke about the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman.
He emphasized that the IRGC Navy maintains a strong presence and exercises full military surveillance over the airspace and waters of the Persian Gulf, the strategic Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman. Source: Al Jazeera
