Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar has said that people’s lives have become unbearable due to the atrocities of extortionists.
In a statement posted on Facebook last Thursday night, condemning and protesting the brutal killing of a journalist in Gazipur, he made these remarks.
Golam Porwar said, "Failing to get extortion money, they are not only attacking business establishments but also killing people mercilessly. They are even killing each other over disputes regarding the division of extortion money.
It is now imperative to build a nationwide social resistance against extortionists and their patrons. I call upon the people of the country to unite in a social movement against them."
