At least seven gruesome murders were reported in the last three days. The latest – a brutal murder of a journalist in Gazipur – reflected the overall deterioration of the law and order situation in the country.
According to data from the Police Headquarters, at least 1,931 people were killed in six months from January to June 2025, which is way higher than the number reported – 1,553 – in the first six months of 2024.
In such a situation, people are worried about the deterioration of the law and order situation in the country and feel a lack of security regarding their life and assets.
