Bangla Press Desk: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, may occur in one or two places across the country's eight divisions. Additionally, the Department of Meteorology has indicated the possibility of moderately heavy rainfall in some areas.
Meteorologist Dr. Md. Omar Faruk provided this forecast, which covers the period up to 6 PM on Saturday (October 10).
The forecast states that over the next 24 hours, rain or thundershowers may occur in some areas of the Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions, and in one or two places across the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Moderately heavy rainfall is also possible in some parts of the country during this time.
From 6 PM on Saturday for the subsequent 24 hours, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain or thundershowers—accompanied by temporary gusty winds—in one or two places across all eight divisions (Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet). Day and night temperatures across the country may rise slightly during this period.
The Department of Meteorology reported that the southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh. A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal by October 13.
Meanwhile, the highest rainfall in the country over the past 24 hours was recorded in Satkhira, measuring 45 millimeters. During this period, the highest temperature recorded was 33.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati and Kutubdia, while the lowest was 20.5 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
