Bangla Press Desk: Although the monsoon has weakened, rainfall is likely to continue across various regions of the country. The Department of Meteorology has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different areas.

The forecast indicates that the monsoon is less active over the southern and eastern regions of Bangladesh and remains weak over the North Bay of Bengal. The southwest monsoon has already withdrawn from the western part of the country and is likely to retreat from the remaining regions within the next 48 hours.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur in many places across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions, as well as in some areas of the Chattogram division. Additionally, there is a possibility of moderately heavy rainfall in some locations.
Day and night temperatures across the country may drop slightly during this period.
The forecast for the 24 hours following 6 PM on Thursday indicates that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur in many places across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions, and in some areas of the Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Moderately heavy rainfall is also possible in some parts of the country. During this time, day temperatures are expected to remain virtually unchanged, while night temperatures may decrease slightly.
