Bangla Press Desk: BNP Standing Committee Member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy said that the future of 18 crore people now lies in the hands of Tarique Rahman.
He added that democracy-loving people were present at Tarique Rahman’s reception program.
Goyeshwar made the remarks on Friday while speaking to journalists in front of the National Martyrs’ Memorial.
In the afternoon, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the National Martyrs’ Memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs and those who made sacrifices in the Liberation War.
On the occasion, party leaders and activists began gathering in front of and around the memorial from the morning.
Goyeshwar Chandra Roy said that the people of the country had been eagerly awaiting Tarique Rahman’s return. “With his arrival, all conspiracies and rumors have come to an end. The struggle he carried out from abroad on behalf of the people for a free and fair election—he will now directly lead that struggle from the soil of the country,” he said.
