Govt Appoints 184 Officers to BCS Health Cadre
Bangla Press Desk: The government has appointed 184 officers to entry-level posts in the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health) cadre through the 48th BCS (Special) Examination-2025.
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md Ehsanul Hoque signed the recruitment notification on Tuesday.According to the notification, the appointments were made based on the merit order of the BCS results following recommendations from the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).
Of the newly appointed officers, 165 have been appointed as assistant surgeons and 19 as assistant dental surgeons.
The recruits will undergo a foundation course at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre or another government-designated training institution. They will also have to complete professional and specialised training at their respective service-related institutions as determined by the government.
The officers will serve a two-year probationary period, which may be extended by up to another two years if necessary. An officer may be removed from service during the probationary period if deemed unfit to continue.
They will be confirmed in service after successfully completing the required training, passing the departmental examination and satisfactorily completing the apprenticeship period.
The newly appointed officers have been asked to report to their designated health services offices by noon on 7 September 2026. Those who do not receive specific instructions have been asked to report to the Health Services Division on the same day.
Failure to report on 7 September will be treated as refusal to accept the post, resulting in cancellation of the appointment.
