Govt to provide Tk1cr to Hadi’s family to buy flat

Bangla Press Desk:  The government is providing Tk1 crore to the family of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Bin Hadi to purchase a flat in Dhaka.

According to sources at the Ministry of Finance, the special grant will be used to buy and furnish a 1,215-square-foot flat at Doyel Tower, a residential building for government officials located in Lalmatia.

Wishing anonymity, a finance ministry official said that the allocation was approved following an application from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

The transfer of the flat is conditional upon verification of the identities of Osman Hadi’s wife and child, the official added.

Hadi, also a prospective candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot in the head on 12 December while travelling in a rickshaw in the Paltan area.

He was airlifted to Singapore for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries on the night of 18 December.
