Horrific collision between two aircraft in the Philippines; 4 pilots killed
Bangla Press Desk: A horrific mid-air collision occurred between two military aircraft during a training exercise in the Southeast Asian nation of the Philippines. The country’s Air Force reported that four pilots were killed in the incident. On Friday afternoon (October 23), the two single-propeller SF-260 aircraft crashed at the Fernando Air Base, located south of Manila.
According to a report by NDTV, Philippine Air Force spokesperson Colonel Alvin Capinguian stated, "Both aircraft crashed within the confines of the airbase. There are no reports of any other casualties."
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident. Colonel Capinguian added that, as a precautionary measure, all SF-260 aircraft in the Air Force’s fleet have been temporarily grounded.
