I lost a close friend: Mithun

Bangla Press Desk: Tollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty—famous for his role as ‘Phatakesto’—has expressed deep grief over the passing of veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar. He also extended his condolences to the late actor's family, friends, and countless fans.
Nana Patekar passed away at his residence at 5:20 AM on Thursday (October 8) after suffering a heart attack; he was subsequently taken to the hospital.
Sharing an emotional message upon his friend's death, Mithun Chakraborty said, "I cannot put into words how terrible I feel today. We spent a significant part of our lives together. Nana Patekar was my closest friend; the bond we shared is beyond description."
The actor added, "Being together meant nothing but fun and laughter. Nana’s presence would transform the entire atmosphere. We would spend the whole day chatting about various things. It is rare to find someone with whom you can speak openly; Nana was that kind of friend—someone with whom I never had to think twice before speaking."
The veteran actor continued, "There is no need to elaborate on Nana Patekar’s caliber as an actor. He ranks among the finest actors in the country. I learned so much from him. So many memories are flooding back today that I don't know where to begin or what to share."
Mithun Chakraborty remarked, "Many are unaware of what Nana did for people and for farmers, simply because he never sought to publicize it. He helped farmers so much! How many people actually use their own money to help others? There is no one quite like Nana."
The actor said, "When such a close friend leaves suddenly, it leaves one’s heart heavy. I simply don't know how to cope with this grief. It is a truly terrible day. I couldn't believe it when I first heard the news, and I still can't. It will take a long time to come to terms with this." The grief of losing a friend is something that cannot be forgotten.
It is worth noting that actors Mithun Chakraborty and Nana Patekar had worked together in the film *Sagar Sangam*.
