I’m still willing to act if I get good story, character: Purnima
Bangla Press Desk:   Dilara Hanif Purnima has been away from cinema for a long time. The once popular actor of Dhallywood has worked on the OTT platform, but she has also lost a lot from cinema. The artiste has been seen regularly on social media as the familiar and glamorous character and viewers also want to see her on the big screen. The actor expressed various regrets and anger when it came to staying away from acting. In a recent media interview, Purnima said, ‘I’m still willing to work if I get a good story and a quality character.” The actor expressed regret over understanding the overall situation of the Dhallywood industry. Although she is interested in working on the OTT platform, the syndicate is a big obstacle. Reacting angrily to this, Purnima said, “I want to work on OTT. However, a big syndicate works there. They do not easily give space to outsiders. Those who are in that group always get the opportunity. However, there are many talented artistes who can do good work, they should be given that opportunity. But it is not done. However, I’m very optimistic.” The actor believes that if she gets the respect she deserves and a strong story, she will find new enthusiasm in acting again. She liked works like “Mohanogor”, “Karagar” and “Golam Mamun”. Purnima said that if she had the opportunity in such stories, she would have found a new life in acting.  This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
