In his resignation letter, he noted his decision to step down from the country’s second-highest constitutional post in order to focus on his well-being.
Dhankhar requested that his resignation be accepted with immediate effect. He stated: “I am resigning from the post of Vice President of India under Article 67(a) of the Constitution in order to prioritise my health and in accordance with my doctor’s recommendations. I request that my resignation take effect immediately.”
