Bangla Press Desk: Indian National Award-winning singer Iman Chakraborty and her accompanying musicians faced severe harassment and humiliation on foreign soil. While en route to a Durga Puja event in New Jersey, they encountered an distressing situation at Dallas Airport involving staff and officials from American Airlines.
Following the incident, Iman Chakraborty went live on social media to share her bitter experience and express her indignation. She explained that they had arrived at Dallas Airport on time to travel to New Jersey for a scheduled Durga Puja performance. Despite possessing valid boarding passes, airline staff prevented them from boarding without providing any clear or reasonable justification. When the artists questioned this arbitrary obstruction and protested, the staff allegedly behaved in an extremely rude manner, physically pushing them away from the boarding gate.
Furthermore, the expensive, professional musical instruments carried by Iman and her team were treated with gross negligence and contempt. The airline even explicitly stated that they would not accept any liability should the instruments be broken or damaged during the journey.
As a result of this unfortunate incident, Iman and her team were forced to miss their flight. Although an alternative flight was mentioned, the situation remained uncertain. Once news of this mistreatment of the artists in the United States emerged, it sparked intense outrage on social media, with fans and netizens demanding strict action against the airline.
Iman later confirmed that she and her team had arrived safely in Philadelphia and were prepared for their performance. Meanwhile, the allegations raised by Iman have fueled significant anger among social media users.
