Jamaat holds meeting with EC

Bangla Press Desk:  A delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami has met with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin.

The meeting is taking place as preparations are underway for announcing the schedule of the 13th parliamentary election and the national referendum.The meeting began at 11:30 am today, Monday, at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka. Along with the Chief Election Commissioner, other election commissioners are also present.

A six-member delegation led by Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General, Mia Golam Porwar, is attending the meeting.

Earlier at 10:30 am, representatives of the Bangladesh Administration Association met with the CEC.

Last week, delegations from the BNP and the National Citizens Party (NCP) held meetings with the Chief Election Commissioner.
