Jamaat will ensure inclusive governance if voted to power: Ameer
Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has said that his party will run the country inclusively if it forms the government.
He made the remarks on Friday morning while delivering the keynote speech at a rally held at the BRP Ground in Bhashantek, Dhaka.
The youth-student-citizen rally was organised by Dr SM Khaliduzzaman, the Jamaat-nominated parliamentary candidate for Dhaka-17.
Shafiqur Rahman said that even if the party does not form the government, Jamaat’s fight against corruption will continue. He added that, in power, the party will not yield to any domestic or foreign pressure.
The rally was presided over by Dhaka North City Amir Abdur Rahman Musa. The chief speaker was Zahidul Islam, president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir. Leaders and activists from various levels of the party also attended the event.
