Joao Felix set for Al Nassr move in €50m deal
Bangla Press Desk:   Portuguese forward Joao Felix is set to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr from Chelsea in a deal worth up to €50 million. The Riyadh-based club will pay an initial €30 million (£26.2m) upfront, with performance-based add-ons potentially raising the total package to €50 million. Felix becomes the latest high-profile European talent to make the move to the Saudi Pro League. Felix, 25, spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at AC Milan, where he made 21 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Despite expressing interest in staying in Italy, Milan opted not to pursue a permanent deal. The loan arrangement, which included a €5.5 million fee and full wage coverage, did not carry a buy option. Chelsea had acquired Felix permanently from Atletico Madrid in August 2024 for £44.5 million ($58 million), following a previous loan spell at Stamford Bridge during the 2022-23 season. However, his second stint in London was short-lived, featuring in only three Premier League games before being sent to Milan.
Though his contract at Chelsea runs until 2030, with an option to extend by a year, Felix was not included in the club’s 28-man squad for this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup — signaling the end of his time in West London. Al Nassr, who finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season, are hoping Felix’s arrival will boost their title challenge and add firepower alongside their star-studded squad.
