Bangla Press Desk: Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun — once a prime accused in the July–August Movement atrocities — was produced before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) amid tight security on Thursday morning.
Mamun, now a state witness, is the only accused in custody, while ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal remain on the run.
Police brought Mamun to the tribunal in a prison van around 9:00 am.
The three-member judicial panel of Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumdar, is set to fix the date for the long-awaited verdict today.
