July Warrior Surovi gets bail

Bangla Press Desk:  July Uprising’s active participant Tahrima Jannat Surovi has finally secured bail in an extortion case, which has been allegedly filed to “humiliate and dehumanise” her.

The Students Against Discrimination, which led the anti-fascist uprising from the front, confirmed her bail in a post on its official facebook page on Monday evening.

About an hour earlier, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul said in a facebook post that Surovi would soon get relief from her legal predicaments.

According to different social media claims, Surovi is underage but deliberately shown as a 21-year-old in the case statement. Furthermore, she has been framed only for rejecting "inappropriate sexual proposals," as per multiple unverified social media posts.
