Khaleda Zia uses fingerprint to collect nomination paper
Bangla Press Desk: BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, currently receiving treatment in Dhaka’s Evercare Hospital, used her fingerprint instead of a signature on her nomination papers for the first time, according to sources concerned.
Khaleda Zia is contesting the election from three constituencies: Bogura-7, Dinajpur-3, and Feni-1.
Among these, for the Dinajpur-3 constituency, district BNP president Mofazzal Hossain Dulal and general secretary Bakhtiar Ahmed Kochi submitted Khaleda Zia’s nomination papers at the returning officer’s office on Sunday afternoon.
For the same constituency, BNP central executive committee member and former Dinajpur municipal mayor Syed Jahangir Alam has also collected nomination papers to run as a candidate.
In Bogura-7, BNP Chairperson’s adviser and former MP Helal Uddin Talukder Lalu, along with district BNP President Rezaul Karim, will submit her nomination papers.
Meanwhile, in Feni-1, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convener Rafiqul Islam Majnu is expected to submit her nomination papers on her behalf on Monday.
Mentionable, today is the final day for submitting nomination papers for the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
