A post on Dr. Khalilur Rahman's official Facebook page on Wednesday (September 23) stated that this private interaction took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. During the meeting, they exchanged pleasantries.
Earlier, at the opening session of the UN General Assembly, Dr. Khalilur Rahman emphasized global peace, international cooperation, Security Council reform, and the need to make the multilateral system more effective in addressing contemporary global challenges. He also highlighted the necessity of building a UN system that is transparent, representative, and aligned with current geopolitical realities.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump thanked Dr. Khalilur Rahman after delivering his address at the UN session.
