Khasru, Gias, Helal collect nomination forms

Bangla Press Desk:    BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, former vice-chairman Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury and Central Assistant Organising Secretary Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin collected nomination forms on Wednesday for the upcoming 13th parliamentary election.

Along with them, a total of six candidates, including three from the Jamaat-e-Islami, collected nomination papers from the offices of two returning officers on the day.

Assistant Commissioner at the Chattogram Divisional Commissioner's Office Md Hedayet Ullah said Chattogram-10 (Double Mooring-Pahartali) constituency candidate Khasru, Chattogram-5 (Hathazari and parts of city) constituency candidate Helal, and Chattogram-4 (Sitakunda and parts of city) constituency candidate Md Anwar Hossain collected the forms from the Divisional Commissioner’s and other relevant offices.

Meanwhile, BNP candidate Gias of the Chattogram-6 (Raozan) constituency, Jamaat candidate Md Shahadat Hossain of the Chattogram-14 (Chandanaish upazila and parts of Satkania) constituency, and Shahjahan Chowdhury of the Chattogram-15 (Lohagara upazila and parts of Satkania) constituency collected nomination papers from the Deputy Commissioner's and other relevant offices.

Out of 16 parliamentary constituencies in Chattogram, the BNP has so far announced candidates for 14 seats. Among them, city BNP Convener Ershad Ullah was the first to collect a nomination form.
