Law Adviser orders swift action over killing of judge’s son in Rajshahi
Bangla Press Desk: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul on Thursday strongly condemned the brutal attack at the residence of Rajshahi Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahman.
The knife attack left Abdur Rahman’s son, Tousif Rahman, a ninth grader, dead, and his wife, Tasmin Nahar, seriously injured.
Following the incident, the law adviser instructed the police to arrest all those involved and ensure a thorough investigation, an official release said.
In line with the directive, the concerned law enforcement agencies have already taken prompt steps.
The government is closely monitoring the medical treatment of the injured, Tasmin Nahar, to ensure her proper care while maintaining constant communication with those concerned, including the authorities at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Asif Nazrul said in the official release.
Asif Nazrul prayed for peace for the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy for the bereaved family. He also wished speedy recovery for the injured mother.
He also said that the government will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of members of the judiciary and their families.
