Bangla Press Desk: Lions International has allocated over 300 development and humanitarian projects across Bangladesh, each valued at more than $1 million, aimed at bolstering the country's socio-economic landscape.

The information was disclosed by Manoj Shah, second international Vice President of Lions International, at a press conference held at a city hotel on Saturday.

Shah is currently on a four-day official visit to Bangladesh, accompanied by his spouse, Jayna Shah.

Speaking at the event, Shah lauded the local chapters for their organised efforts.

"The service activities of Lions in Bangladesh are highly commendable. I am deeply inspired by the dedication and humanitarian spirit of the members here," he said, adding that global support for Bangladesh would be further strengthened in the coming years.

During his stay, Shah inspected several permanent and ongoing service projects in Dhaka and Chattogram, engaging with local Lions leaders to discuss strategic directions.

Lions International Director Nazmul Haque termed the visit a "milestone" for the movement in Bangladesh, noting its potential to elevate the profile of local service activities on the global stage.

Md Ashraff Hossain Khan Heera, council chairperson of Multiple District 315, Bangladesh, stated that the visit provides new momentum to their humanitarian initiatives.

The delegation, which arrived on 22 January, is scheduled to depart Dhaka on Sunday morning (25 Jan).
