Malaysia turns back 123 Bangladeshis from airport
Bangla Press Desk:  Malaysia has denied entry to 198 foreign nationals, including 123 Bangladeshis, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2 for failing to meet necessary entry requirements, reports Malay Mail. The individuals were refused entry for various reasons, including insufficient funds, lack of accommodation bookings, and unclear travel purposes, said the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (BCPA). Of the total, 128 people were detained at Terminal-1, comprising 123 Bangladeshis, two Pakistanis, two Indonesians, and one Syrian. At Terminal-2, 70 individuals were stopped, including 51 Indonesians, 13 Indians, four Pakistanis, and two Vietnamese nationals.
BCPA Director-General Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhailey Mohd  Zain said the travellers would be deported under the ‘Not to Land’ procedure, with the responsibility of repatriation lying with the respective airlines.  This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
