Hani Mahmoud said, "We read and hear doctors’ appeal for more blood because what is available is not sufficient to deal with the influx of injuries that keep pouring into these three major health facilities."
On a good day, they receive at least 150 to 200 injured patients who need blood supplies that are not available in this amount to save lives.
"We’ve seen at the blood banks many people who were begging doctors to allow them to give blood donations to save their loved ones, but they had to be turned away because they were not fit to donate blood due to the enforced dehydration and starvation", said Hani Mahmoud from Gaza City.
