Mamun appointed acting general secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad

Bangla Press Desk:  Gono Odhikar Parishad has appointed Hasan Al Mamun as its acting general secretary following the resignation of Rashed Khan from the post.

The decision was taken on Saturday night during an online meeting of the party’s highest forum. Mamun himself confirmed the development in a Facebook post.

Rashed Khan, former general secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad, joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Saturday. 

Rashed Khan’s departure left the post of general secretary vacant, sparking speculation over who would replace him. Hasan Al Mamun has now been chosen to fill the role on an acting basis.

Before his appointment, Mamun served as the senior joint general secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad. He was also the convener of the 2018 quota reform movement.
