Man dies after falling from train roof in Mymensingh
Bangla Press Desk: A man has been killed and two others injured in Mymensingh city after falling from the roof of a moving train, as thousands of passengers rushed to return home ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
The incident occurred at Ghunti on Tuesday, Mymensingh Railway Police chief Aktar Hossain said.
The dead was identified as 30-year-old Md Musa, reports bdnews24.com.
One of those hurt, identified only as Shamim, is undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, while the other injured returned home after receiving first aid.
Railway Police said the incident took place when a Dhaka-bound commuter train heading to Jamalpur reached Ghunti, and the three youths fell from the roof of the moving carriage.
Locals rushed them to hospital, where doctors declared Musa dead on arrival.
Police said Musa had been travelling to visit his brother’s poultry farm in Jamalpur.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances under which the passengers fell from the train roof.
