Staff Reporter: US military has refused to say respected goodbye to outgoing US President Donald Trump. The country's military has not responded to Trump's offer. According to CNN, Trump wanted Biden to be given an honorable farewell by military exercises shortly before his swearing-in, where thousands of his supporters would be present. Two Pentagon officials told CNN that the Pentagon would not take part in such an event.
Meanwhile, Trump supporters have reportedly taken up arms outside Biden's swearing-in outside the Washington, D.C., legislature. Armed protesters have also taken up positions in various US states to disrupt the swearing-in of new President Biden.
Armed protesters took up positions outside the legislatures of several states, including Ohio, Michigan and Texas. US law enforcement has not yet taken any action to disperse the protesters. However, several institutions and installations, including important tourist centers in the capital, have been shut down. Every vehicle in Washington DC is being searched. A state of emergency has been declared in the states surrounding the capital.
Strict warnings have been issued across the United States regarding the swearing-in ceremony of Joe Biden on January 20. Extra security guards have been deployed in the capitals of the country's 50 states for fear of armed protests by Trump supporters.
