Minimum wage for workers will be set within a month or two: Prime Minister
BanglaPress Desk: Prime Minister Tareque Rahman has announced that a minimum wage for workers will be established within the next month or two. "We are working day and night for the nation's progress," he stated. "There are issues regarding workers' wages, and I expect that a minimum wage will be set within a month or two." The Prime Minister made these remarks during a street-side rally in Bagerhat on Thursday (November 5).
Emphasizing that no worker should cause harm to the industrial sector, he noted that while the government is striving to expand industries, certain elements—orchestrating from across the border—are attempting to incite chaos under the guise of workers' demands.
He further remarked that those who fled following the popular uprising are now pulling strings from abroad to hatch conspiracies within the country. These conspirators seek to destroy the nation's assets. "Now is the time to build the nation and transform the lives of its people. We must stop these troublemakers who seek to destroy the country's future."
Issuing a stern warning, the Prime Minister declared that the conspirators would be met with a decisive response. He stated that these individuals are attempting to derail the government's plans aimed at improving the lives of the people. "Bangladesh will be transformed into a highly industrialized nation, and the conspirators will be given a fitting response."
