Bangla Press Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that if the party comes to power, July fighters will be provided with full security and comprehensive support, describing them as a source of national pride who played a crucial role in bringing about change.
He said assistance would go beyond allowances, with emphasis placed on technology and training to help them become self-reliant. “They are our pride. Their contribution to change is undeniable,” he said.
Mirza Fakhrul also pledged that those responsible during the “fascist government” would be brought to justice, while ensuring the overall security of July fighters.
He made the remarks on Wednesday night (4 February) at an exchange meeting with July fighters and their family members, organised by the July Fighters Unity Forum at the Mirza Ruhul Amin Auditorium in Thakurgaon town.
The BNP secretary general said proper medical arrangements would be made for those injured, adding that special treatment facilities would be arranged for July fighters once the Thakurgaon Medical College becomes operational. Those suffering from eye injuries would be sent abroad for treatment if necessary.
He said efforts would also be made to make July fighters self-reliant through the use of technology, noting, however, that the implementation of these measures would depend on the BNP forming the next government.Source: daily Sun
