Muhit conducts sudden inspection at hospital in Zakiganj
Bangla Press Desk: State Minister for Health and Family Welfare MA Muhit has conducted a sudden inspection at Zakiganj Upazila Health Complex, located in the border area of Sylhet, to observe the real picture of grassroots healthcare services during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
Around 12:15pm on Monday, he monitored the overall situation of the hospital through an instant video call from Sirajganj. During the inspection, he reviewed the healthcare services across various units—from the emergency department to indoor wards—and spoke with on-duty doctors, nurses, and other staff.
While inspecting, the state minister inquired about the presence of the doctors and found one of the four assigned physicians absent. He immediately ordered an investigation into the matter and warned that negligence in duty would not be tolerated.
Muhit exchanged Eid greetings with doctors and healthcare workers serving during the holidays and expressed gratitude for their dedication.
“You are the hope of people in this remote area. The government is aware of your sacrifice and commitment,” he said.
Through the video call, he also spoke with nurses in the emergency department and patients receiving treatment. He directly sought feedback from patients regarding the quality of services and asked whether they were facing any difficulties in receiving care.
The state minister instructed the authorities concerned to ensure timely and quality healthcare services for people at the grassroots level.
