Bangla Press Desk: Nahid Islam, founding convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP), met Chief Adviser Prof Mohammad Yunus at his official residence, State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka, on Thursday.
Nahid paid the courtesy call when the social communication media are flooded with a rumour that the chief adviser is going to step down amid the prevailing chaotic political situation.
After being concerned about the information, Nahid rushed to the chief adviser’s residence and urged him to continue his responsibility for the greater interest of the country and its people.
In response, the chief adviser gave his consent to continue his rules, said the NCP source.
