Nancy-Imran back on playback after a long break

Bangla Press Desk:  Popular singers Nancy and Imran Mahmudul have reunited after a long hiatus for the romantic song “Dujon Mile Bachhbo Ek Jibon” in the upcoming film Shikar.

Penned by lyricist Kabir Bakul, the song has been composed and musically arranged by Imran Mahmudul. Recording was completed on Sunday evening.

Expressing her excitement, Nancy said working with Imran is always a wonderful experience. “The lyrics and melody are beautiful and will touch the hearts of listeners. After a long time, I have sung a film song that is truly close to my heart,” she said.

Imran described the collaboration as special, saying, “Nancy apa has a unique voice. Singing a duet with her is always a pleasure. We had both been waiting for this song for a long time, and I hope the audience will enjoy it.”

Meanwhile, director Kamruzzaman Roman is preparing to begin shooting Shikar, starring Apu Biswas and Murtaza Palash. Based on a true incident in Bangladesh’s border region, the film is billed as a thriller rather than a conventional romance.

“We paired Apu Biswas and Murtaza Palash to suit the story. The story itself is the real hero,” Roman said, adding that filming will begin in Nepal this week and continue without interruption. 

Based on the story of Abdullah Zahir Babu, the movie also stars Barada Mithu and Rashed Mamun Apu.
