NCP leaders call on Bhutanese PM Lotay Tshering
Bangla Press Desk: Leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) have called on Bhutan’s visiting Prime Minister Lotay Tshering.
The meeting took place at a hotel in Dhaka on Sunday morning.
NCP Convenor Nahid Islam and several other party leaders were present during the meeting with the Prime Minister Tshering.
Lotay Tshering arrived in Dhaka on Saturday morning for a two-day state visit. He landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:15am on a Drukair flight, where Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus received him.
On Saturday, two memoranda of understanding—one on cooperation in the health sector and another on internet connectivity—were signed in the presence of Chief Adviser Dr Yunus and the Bhutanese Prime Minister.
According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the health-related MoU was signed by Health Secretary Md Saidur Rahman, while the MoU on international internet bandwidth and other telecommunication services was signed by Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Abdun Naser Khan.
Before the MoU-signing ceremony at the Chief Adviser’s Office in Tejgaon, Dr Yunus held a one-to-one meeting with Prime Minister Tshering, followed by formal bilateral talks.
