NCP won’t field any candidate in Khaleda’s constituency: Patwary

Bangla Press Desk: The National Citizen Party will not field any candidate for the constituencies where Bangladesh Nationalist Party Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been nominated for the upcoming 13th parliamentary election.
NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary confirmed the matter to the media on Tuesday.
On Monday, the BNP announced the names of the probable candidates for the national election in 237 constituencies, leaving 63 seats vacant for nominees from like-minded political allies.
According to the announcement, Khaleda Zia will run for Feni-1, Dinajpur-3, and Bogura-7 seats.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will contest Bogura-6, and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will vie for Thakurgaon-1.
