Bangla Press Desk: Nizam Uddin, Joint Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP) Chattogram Metropolitan unit, has been temporarily suspended over allegations of financial misconduct and serious breach of party discipline.
The decision was announced in a statement signed by the party’s Joint Office Secretary, Saleh Uddin Sifat, on Tuesday (August 12).
This follows the circulation of a video on social media allegedly showing Nizam taking Tk 500,000 to halt a protest related to Chattogram Port activities.
The statement said initial investigation found the allegations to be credible, leading to his temporary suspension from all party activities effective immediately.
