Neha Bora released from prison.
Bangla Press Desk: Delhi Police has released Neha Bora, President of the All India Students Association (AISA). She announced this in a post on the social media platform X.
Following her release, Neha Bora stated on X that the police had confiscated her mobile phone, which was later returned to her. Other women detained at the police station were also released.
Neha Bora is a prominent figure in the ongoing movement demanding the resignation of India's Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar. The movement alleges irregularities in the revision of voter lists.
On Saturday, police detained Neha Bora and activists from various political and student organizations ahead of a scheduled protest by the CJP at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Tight security measures were implemented across various parts of the capital in anticipation of the protest.
Neha Bora is a PhD student at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. She also serves as the President of the All India Students Association (AISA), the student wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, or CPI(ML) Liberation.
