Nepal to host ICC Women’s T20 WC 2026 qualifier
  Bangla Press Desk:   Nepal has been confirmed as the host nation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier, scheduled to take place from 12 January to 2 February 2025. Ten teams will compete for four spots at the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, set to be held in England and Wales. Bangladesh and Scotland have secured automatic entry into the Qualifier after featuring in the 2024 edition of the tournament. Thailand and Nepal qualified via the Asia regional pathway, while the USA earned their place through the Americas region. The remaining five slots will be filled by two teams each from Africa and Europe, and one from the East Asia-Pacific region, based on the outcomes of their respective regional Qualifiers.
The 10 participating teams will be divided into two groups of five, followed by a Super Six stage and a Final. The full fixture list will be announced soon. Meanwhile, the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will run from 12 June to 5 July across seven venues in England and Wales. A total of 33 matches will be played over 24 days, with matches hosted at iconic grounds including Old Trafford, Headingley, Hampshire Bowl, and Bristol County Ground.
