No decision yet on election alliance: Khelafat Majlish Ameer

Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Ameer Maulana Mamunul Haque has said that the Khelafat Majlish has not yet made any decision to join an election alliance.

“For now, we are united in the movement demanding the immediate implementation of the July Charter. There is no alternative to the success of this movement,” he said.

He made these remarks yesterday at a modest event held at his personal office in Mohammadpur during the joining ceremony of Maulana Habibullah — son of the late Shaykhul Hadith Allama Abdul Aziz (Rah.) of Hathazari Madrasa and son-in-law of Hefazat-e-Islam’s Ameer Allama Muhibbullah Babunagari — to the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish.

Present at the event were the party’s Joint Secretary General Maulana Ataullah Amin, Central Executive Member Maulana Abdus Sobhan, and Council Member of Khelafat Jubo Majlish Zakir Hossain, among others.

At the event, Maulana Mamunul Haque said that any major political decision of the organization will be taken through the highest organizational process. The matter will first be discussed and reviewed in the organization’s Political Cell, then presented to the Central Executive Committee, and finally a decision will be made after discussion in the Central Majlish-e-Shura. If necessary, opinions of grassroots-level leaders will also be sought.

Addressing the grassroots leaders and activists, he said, “You must work closely with the people and understand their thoughts and sentiments. Organizational decisions should align with the needs and realities of the people — our activities must be carried out keeping that in mind.”
