No fire broke out at Nasiruddin Patwari's house.
Nasiruddin Patwari, Central Chief Coordinator of the NCP.
Bangla Press Desk: A video claiming that the home of Nasiruddin Patwary, Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens' Party (NCP), was set on fire has circulated on social media. However, a statement on Nasiruddin’s verified Facebook page clarifies that no such incident occurred.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday night (October 7), the page administrator wrote that there was no fire at Nasiruddin Patwary’s residence. This raises the question: what is the motive behind circulating this video? Why is a video depicting such a sensitive incident—one that never actually happened—being created and disseminated?
The post notes that, in the past, attempts have been made to fabricate narratives against Nasiruddin Patwary to create an environment for attacks and to legitimize them. Since the BNP government came to power, Nasiruddin Patwary has been attacked five times. Yet, the BNP government took no visible steps to ensure justice for these assaults. On the contrary, officials within the ruling party themselves made statements seemingly justifying the attacks on him.
Is this recently circulated video part of that same pattern? The post questions whether this is a calculated effort driven by political vendetta and malicious propaganda.
Furthermore, it asks if these fabricated narratives are being repeatedly created to counter Nasiruddin Patwary’s bold stance against extortion and terrorism. The post calls for an investigation into whether there is a concerted effort by extortionists, terrorists, and ousted vested interest groups to silence his voice.
The administrator asserts that a thorough investigation is required regarding the false narratives spread about Nasiruddin Patwary, the attacks carried out against him, and the recent circulation of a video depicting a fire that never actually took place. It is the responsibility of the BNP government to uncover the truth and take legal action against those responsible.
