Obama launches a sharp attack on Trump

Bangla Press Desk: Former U.S. President Barack Obama has sharply criticized the policies and actions of President Donald Trump’s administration. Describing a potential U.S.-Israel war against Iran as unnecessary, he accused the Trump administration of fostering chaos, corruption, and incompetence.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday (October 24), Obama stated that the current president has made a series of poor decisions—foremost among them, initiating a war that no one wanted.

Urging voters to cast their ballots against the Republican administration, Obama noted that the past two years have been marked by chaos, cruelty, corruption, and incompetence. He emphasized that voters now have the opportunity to say "enough is enough."

Later, at another rally in Detroit, Michigan, Obama described the upcoming November 3rd election as a chance to rein in the Trump presidency. He alleged that Trump is using his power for personal gain and engaging in activities akin to selling influence.

Obama also criticized the Trump administration’s claims regarding a "victory" in a conflict with Iran. He argued that by threatening shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran has actually gained greater leverage over the global oil supply.

Furthermore, Obama criticized a campaign advertisement by Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, which targeted Amy Acton—a candidate for Ohio governor. In the ad, Acton’s mother raised questions about her daughter’s childhood and urged voters not to support her. Obama remarked that there should be boundaries in political campaigning that no one crosses, and he expressed his support for Acton.

At the rally in Michigan, Obama also spoke in favor of Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. He pointed out that El-Sayed has been targeted based on his name and Muslim identity, affirming that El-Sayed shares the same values as he does. Obama has begun campaigning for Democratic candidates ahead of the midterm elections. He is scheduled to participate in another Democratic rally in Georgia next week.
