Osman Hadi is a symbol of country’s sovereignty: Jamaat Ameer

Bangla Press Desk:   Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman cut short his London visit and returned to the country to see the body of Sharif Osman Hadi. 

He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning. After returning home, he wrote on his verified Facebook page, “Dear fellow countrymen, I have arrived in Dhaka this morning after shortening my London visit in order to attend the funeral prayer of Shaheed Osman Hadi. Alhamdulillah.”

“From the airport, I went straight to see Shaheed Osman Hadi one last time. I spoke with his family members, but at such a moment of profound grief, I do not know any words that can truly offer consolation. May Almighty Allah grant this family and all the people of our country patience and fortitude.”

“Shaheed Osman Hadi does not belong to any party or ideology; he is a symbol of this country’s sovereignty. I call upon everyone to rise above party lines and join his funeral prayer in large numbers today. Paying the highest respect to this brave son of the nation is the responsibility of us all. The responsibility of rebuilding the Bangladesh of his dreams also rests on all of us. Let Shaheed Osman Hadi become a symbol of our unity. May Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, accept his martyrdom and grant him a place as a guest in Jannatul Firdaus.”
