Osman Hadi now in coma: Doctor

Bangla Press Desk:   Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and an independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency in the upcoming national election, was shot by unidentified assailants in the capital on Friday and is now in a coma.

He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) soon after the attack.

Dr Moshkat Ahmed, Residential Surgeon at the DMCH emergency department, said Osman Hadi’s condition is extremely critical.

“He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is currently in a coma,” he said.

According to police and witnesses, armed assailants opened fire on him in the capital’s Bijoynagar culvert area around Friday noon. He was rescued and taken to DMCH at 2:35pm.
