Paturia-Daulatdia Ferries Resume After Disruption

Bangla Press Desk:   A storm-induced disruption to ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia river route has cleared up after rough weather forced vessels to drop anchor for nearly an hour.

Ferry movement on the Manikganj-Rajbari route remained halted from 7:10am to 8am on Wednesday, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha office Deputy General Manager Md Salam Hossain said.

He said the services were halted to prevent accidents when a nor'wester struck the dock area around 7am, adding that operations returned to normal at 8am once the weather cleared.
